Our Mission Statement
The family of St. Matthews, chosen, gathered, and empowered by God’s own Spirit, proclaims by word and action the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Touched by God’s own hand and in response to the love of God, we commit ourselves to:
-Develop Christian Fellowship
-Encourage the use of our unique
God-given gifts
-Provide a ministry of reconciliation
(II Corinthians 5: 18-20) and
healing for our community and world
(Luke 4: 18-19)
Our Vision
1. We want to grow spiritually, individually, and in numbers.
2. The congregation owns the mission and direction of St. Matthews Church.
3. Our congregation will promote small
caring groups.
4. Building Christian relationships will be the foundation of everything we do.
5. We want St. Matthews to be a warm and safe place for people to come to learn about themselves and each other in Jesus Christ.
